The former Sri Lanka off-spinner got himself entangled in a standoff with the popular St George’s Park brass band on Saturday.
Dharmasena initially asked the band to pipe down, causing the band members to exit the ground. They later returned, only for Dharmasena to stop the entire game until they stopped playing.

The New Zealander has had a busy of time of late. If he is not busy levelling charges and issuing fines, he now also had to head out on to the field to ask his umpires just to calm down and let the band play.

After a picture emerged on social media depicting two CSA officials – head of commercial and marketing Clive Eksteen and head of communications Altaaf Kazi – posing with spectators wearing Sonny Bill Williams masks, CSA were forced to issue an apology to their Cricket Australia counterparts for the embarrassing situation.

Swinger: Mitchell Marsh
South Africa have been hurt by various “Mitchells” in the past like Mitchell Johnson and Mitchell Starc.
On Saturday, it was the turn of Mitchell Marsh, with the all-rounder getting the ball to reverse-swing prodigiously from the Park Drive End. Marsh removed both captain Faf du Plessis and Theunis de Bruyn in quick succession.

After being silenced earlier in the day, the band broke out in full voice when AB de Villiers entertained the PE faithful with a couple of delightful shots in the final session.
