Chris Brown has been keeping the momentum going strong these past few months, dropping bangers and keeping fans hooked with his latest album.

One thing is for sure: Breezy knows how to deliver hit after hit and fans are here for it.

Mzansi got to witness his magic first-hand in December when he performed to a staggering crowd of over 90 000 fans on the first night of his sold-out concert at Johannesburg’s FNB Stadium in December.

It’s no secret that South Africans adore Breezy and he gave us a show to remember. The stadium lit up as fans raised their lights in unison, creating an unforgettable atmosphere that will live on in everyone’s hearts.

It’s not all smooth sailing for singer, though. He’s currently knee-deep in a $500 million (around R9.2 billion) lawsuit against Warner Bros. Discovery and Ample Entertainment.

He’s accusing the producers of the “Chris Brown: A History of Violence” documentary of spreading damaging and false claims about him.

But even with all that drama, Breezy is staying focused and recently dropped the music video for his Grammy-nominated track, “Residuals“.

The video kicks off with scenes from his FNB Stadium performance, showcasing the passionate crowd and fans shining their lights.

It’s a heartfelt nod to Mzansi and fans are loving it. The track itself is part of the 2024 deluxe edition of his 2023 album, “11:11“, which has been getting plenty of attention.

"Residuals" has earned a Grammy nomination for Best R&B Performance.

The deluxe version of “11:11” is also up for Best R&B Album and he’s in the running for Best African Music Performance for “Sensational”, his collab with Davido and Lojay.

Fans and media outlets are speculating that the track reflects Browns’ lingering feelings for his actress and model ex, Karrueche Tran.

The song’s themes of longing and unresolved emotions have sparked discussions about its deeper meaning. And during live performances of the track, Brown has been visibly emotional, adding fuel to the speculation.

Meanwhile, fans are thrilled to see South Africa featured in his music video.

One X user, @Sthembile_k, couldn’t contain their excitement, posting: “In other news South Africa, Chris Brown us'fake on his Residuals music video, we made it🔥 #breezybowl🇿🇦 #BBMzansi2025.”

@Miss_Makhooe commented: “The opening of the video being his 1st concert in S.A, I’m so happy 🥹.”
