"Stranger Things" star Sadie Sink officially joins the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

The talented redhead is set to appear in "Spider-Man 4", where she’ll star alongside Tom Holland as Peter Parker.

While details about her role remain tightly wrapped up, reports suggest it will be significant, which is Marvel-speak for “pay attention, she’s important”.

For those who somehow missed it (seriously, where have you been?), Sink made a name for herself as Max Mayfield in Netflix’s "Stranger Things".

Her character brought a rebellious yet vulnerable energy to the show, stealing the spotlight in season four with that heart-pounding moment set to Kate Bush’s Running Up That Hill.

Critics and fans praised her emotional performance, cementing her as one of Hollywood’s rising stars.

Additionally, she starred in Taylor Swift’s short film "All Too Well" (yes, the 10-minute version), took on a leading role in the "Fear Street" horror trilogy, and will soon make her Broadway debut in John Proctor Is the Villain.

Marvel and Sony are keeping plot details under lock and key (as they do), but we do know that "Spider-Man 4" will pick up from the aftermath of "No Way Home".

In case you need a refresher: Peter Parker messed with the multiverse, causing chaos and bringing Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s Spideys into his reality.

The movie ended bittersweetly, with Peter-One wiping his identity from existence to save his loved ones leaving MJ (Zendaya) and Ned (Jacob Batalon) with no memory of him.

While her role remains a mystery, there's speculation that she could take on the mantle of the X-Men’s powerful mutant, Jean Grey.

This would make sense, especially with Marvel slowly integrating the X-Men into the mix. If not Jean, she could still be playing a major Marvel figure - Gwen Stacy, perhaps? Or even a new villain? The possibilities are endless, and fans are already theorising.

Now, let’s talk about that hair. Since the very first Mary Jane Watson in the comics, redheads have been a recurring theme in Spidey’s love life.

Kirsten Dunst rocked the iconic MJ role in Sam Raimi’s "Spider-Man" trilogy, and now, some fans are wondering if Sink’s signature ginger locks could signal a return to the classic MJ look.

Sure, Zendaya’s Michelle Jones (MJ) has already redefined the character, but with the "No Way Home" ending leaving Peter Parker forgotten, anything is possible.

Could Sink be the next MJ, or is this just another case of fans reading too much into Marvel’s secrecy?

At just 22, Sink is proving she’s got serious range, from horror to sci-fi to emotionally charged dramas. Joining the MCU only solidifies her status as one of Hollywood’s most sought-after young talents.
