Date My Family helps ‘singletons’ find love by sending them on dates with their potential partner's family — but it looks like some contestants still sign up, despite having ‘partners’ already.
Take for instance last night’s bachelor Dumisani Nhlapo, a 28-year-old LGBTI activist from Orange Farm.
Dumisani seemingly didn't take into consideration that once you appear on the show, you can be sure the Twitter CIA will dig out any skeletons in your closet, and in this case it didn't take them very long to find Dumisani making a Facebook confession, screengrab and share it with the rest of DMF's fans. The post read: “Samkelo Bae don't be surprised on Sunday neh,” reads his facebook post. (sic)

Dumisani said he was looking for a smart, confident guy that is stylish too.

Back to the show... Dumisani met Sabelo, who said he was a “rare diamond’.
The family was not very welcoming and were not impressed by Dumisani’s lack of “standards” because he drinks cheap wine. According to the family, Dumisani was not Sabelo’s type because he looked “broke”.

Then Dumisani met with Mduduzi’s family who were welcoming and he although he initially said Dumisani was “definitely not" his type, Mduduzi seemed a bit disappointed that he was the chosen one.

“He doesn't look like my type at all,” said Evandre as Dumisani walked through the door.
But he seemed to have had a change of heart as he later said Dumisani is a “cool guy”. Evandre’s family represented him very well as Dumisani chose him.
The duo looked happy on their first date, but as for the second date, we will just have to wait and see.
