Internationally renowned pop sensation Robbie Williams is set to deliver an electrifying performance in Gauteng this weekend.
The English singer-songwriter, 50, will perform at the SunBet Arena in Time Square, Pretoria on Saturday, January 25, and Sunday, January 26.
The award-winning star’s concerts come following his decision to cancel his show at Calabash South Africa at FNB stadium last weekend due to scheduling conflicts, with Green Day taking to the stage instead.
But Williams’ fans are thrilled that they will finally be able to see him in action.
He last visited South Africa in 2006 when he brought his biggest-ever world tour, “Intensive Care” to Pretoria, Cape Town and Durban.
Williams is one of the most decorated music artists in the world with six of the Top 100 best-selling albums in British history.
His other accolades include a whopping 80 million album sales worldwide, 14 No1 singles and a record 18 BRIT Awards, which is more than any other artist.
He also secured his 14th UK No 1 album in 2022 with “XXV” breaking the record for the solo artist with the most UK No 1 albums.
Williams was also a member of the British pop group Take That, which comprised Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen, with the original line-up also having featured Jason Orange.
Williams’ total chart-topping UK albums across his solo work and records released with Take That now stands at 19. It places him in the top two acts of all time with the most Number 1s across their catalogue.
