Cardi B is planning a “do not disturb” summer.
The ‘WAP’ rapper, 30, took to Twitter Spaces on Monday to defend herself against an allegation by her ‘Walk It Talk It’ rapper husband Offset, 31, that she “f***** another man”, and has now said she wants months of peace and quiet.
She tweeted about her plans for the next eight weeks: “DND TYPE OF SUMMER.”
Fans commented it was a reference to her bust-up with her husband and one told her on Twitter: “LEAVE YOUR HUSBAND SUMMER.”
Cardi told Offset to “stop acting stupid” after he said in a since-deleted Instagram Story she had cheated on him.
Grammy-winning Cardi, who has daughter Kulture, four, and 21-month-old son Wave with Offset, took to Twitter Spaces after he posted the allegation and said in song: “First of all, let me say. You can’t accuse me of all the things you know that you are guilty of. Sing it with me, y’all! And I see that it is easy for you to blame everything on me. Yes, honey!”
Going on to speak to her listeners, she added: “Listen. Don’t pay attention to that country man, y’all.”
She added Offset – real name Kiari Kendrell Cephus – is “spiralling” and “thinking s***” that is false.
Cardi, born Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, went on: “Come on, now. I’m Cardi B, n****.
“I think sometimes mother******* forget I’m Cardi B. If I was giving this p**** to anybody, it would be out. I’m not just anybody.”
Cardi was referring to her belief she could not have sex with a “regular degular shmegular” man as she feared he would tell “the world.”
And she fears she can’t sleep with anybody in her “industry” because they would “tell, too.”
Addressing Offset, she then told him to “stop acting stupid”, adding: “The f***? Stop playing. That’s all I’mma mother******* say because for real, let’s be serious.”
Offset had ranted online: “My wife f***** a N**** on me gang yall n***** know how I come.”
The pair’s row comes after Cardi said seeing Kulture graduate from pre-kindergarten made her a “proud mommy”.
The rapper, 30, took to social media to gush over her little girl’s big day on June 22 and said she vowed to give her “the world” if she got good grades.
Offset appeared to have missed the mark as he took to Instagram to share videos from his time in Paris Fashion Week.
Cardi and the rapper have been married since September 2017, but filed for divorce in September 2020 before apparently resolving their issues, with Cardi withdrawing the divorce papers in November that year.
