This mid-sized Lexus crossover concept, the LF-NX, will make its world debut at next week's Frankfurt motor show, exploring the potential for this kind of vehicle in the Lexus model range.

The LF-NX reinforces Lexus' focus on hybrid power with a new interpretation of Toyota's full hybrid system tuned for SUV performance.

It's finished in a new “brushed metal silver” coating that creates the impression of the car having been carved from a single piece of solid metal.

The interior follows the 'human-orientated' element of Lexus' L-finesse design language, with its dashboard divided between an upper display zone and lower operation zone, to enable intuitive interaction with the concept's touch-sensitive electrostatic switches and touchpad infotainment interface.

Carved metal trim elements, sophisticated blue instrument lighting and yellow and black leather upholstery with contrast stitching lend a touch of class to what Lexus is pitching as a “premium crossover concept”.
