DA federal chairperson Helen Zille has alluded that should her party leave the government of national unity (GNU), the country would be unstable because there will be an ANC, EFF, and MK Party coalition which will destroy South Africa’s economy within a week.

Zille claimed that the ANC, EFF, and MKP coalition was wanted by deputy president Paul Mashatile.

Zille made the remarks during an interview on FaceTheNation on Tuesday.

She was responding to a question about how GNU would be without the DA.

“The amount of disinvestment, international revision of the approach to South Africa, we will be kicked out of AGOA as well, we must understand the stakes here,” she said.

Zille’s comments after the ANC secretary-general Fikile Mbalula dared the DA to leave the unity government.

The reasons were that Zille undermined the ANC and was openly undermining the GNU.

Zille also claimed that the GNU was a grand coalition between the ANC and DA. This was dismissed as a blue lie by the ANC.

The GNU is led by the ANC and the party made it clear no one including the DA would dictate terms to them.

The DA has consistently condemned the MKP and the EFF being in government, suggesting that they were a bunch of criminals who would run the country into the ground.

According to the DA, big investors would leave the country if the EFF and MKP were to run the country.

Although the GNU has survived months in office, cracks have been noted in many instances over a range of policies and critical Bills.

The National Health Insurance (NHI) and Bela Act are some of the most discussed topics in the GNU.
