Moroccan giants Wydad Casablanca have expressed an interest in signing Orlando Pirates youngster Relebohile Mofokeng, in what would be a sensational coup for the Moroccan club managed by former Sundowns tactician Rhulani Mokwena.
According to reports, talks are progressing for the signing of the 20-year-old wonderkid who was also linked to Spanish giants FC Barcelona and Scottish Premiership side Rangers FC last year.
The skillful Mofokeng has been one of the standout players in South African football since his emergence two years ago, playing a pivotal role in the Bucanneers recent successes in domestic cup competitions.
This season the Bafana Bafana international has continued with his impressive performances, scoring eight goals and providing 11 assists across all competitions in 30 appearances.

Wydad Casablanca have their sights on Mofokeng, with the Moroccan club having already secured the loan signings of Thembinkosi Lorch and Cassius Mailula since Mokwena's arrival.
They are currently second in the Botola Pro 1 with 39 points from 21 matches and are aiming to re-establish their dominance in Moroccan football after a disappointing sixth-place finish in the league last season.
According to media reports from the French publication Africafoot, Wydad have set their eyes on Mofokeng and have already approached the Buccaneers over a possible move.
It is understood that the club is dangling a carrot of participating in the Club World Cup to the 20-year-old to lure him from Soweto.
