Popular DJ and media personality Lulo Cafe, whose real name is Sikhululo Maliwa, has apologised to his fans after popular gossip blogger Musa Khawula shared a private video of him on Twitter.
Reports say the video of Lulo Cafe naked was recorded without his consent and later shared with the celebrity basher by an unknown person.
The DJ turned to his Twitter account and apologised to all those he had let down.
“I am ok I was just apologizing to those I’ve let down. I just need sometime and I will be ok.” he said.
“I am crushed and have no fight left in me.”
There was speculation that sharing the video may have been one of the reasons Khawula’s account was suspended on Twitter.
The gossip blogger has since created a new account, claiming he is there to serve people.
Social media users weighed in after Lulo Cafe trended on Twitter.
Popular podcaster GodPenuel criticised Khawula for posting a private video publicly.
“Musa Khawula’s Twitter account has been suspended. Rumours are that its because he posted a video of a naked Lulo Cafe that was filmed without his consent and forward to Musa by an unknown person. We need to do better. We’re destroying each other in front of our eyes.” GodPenuel posted on Twitter.
Cylia Zengele said the applause that Khawula had been getting on social media was the reason he had got used to hurting people.
An social media user named Roland said Khawula’s suspension would not change anything because people were addicted to entertaining vile things said about others.
“Unfortunately it will not change anything ppl are so used to useless things, in a few days his account will be back doing the same thing. If there wasnt a market for his content then he would disappear,” said Roland.
