Bloemfontein - At least 68 people were injured when two buses collided outside Bloemfontein in the Free State on Thursday, paramedics said.
“All the patients were treated on scene before they were transported to various hospitals for further medical care,” Netcare 911 spokeswoman Santi Steinmann said.
All 68 people sustained serious injuries, she said.
The accident happened on the N1 south-bound at around 7am.
When paramedics arrived, they found the two buses were involved in a rear-end collision.
