Bloemfontein – Police in Bloemfontein are seeking the help of the public in finding the killers of an elderly man who was found dead in his home on Monday morning.
Police said in a statement the body of Hendrick Koetzer, 73, was found in his home by a neighbour after he was last seen four days ago.
“The deceased’s body was found in a pool of blood in the kitchen next to the fridge. He was found with open wounds to the back of his head and both his legs and hands were tied up with the ropes,” police said.
Koetzer’s house had been ransacked. Police suspect a house robbery but have not been able to ascertain whether anything was missing from the house.
