Bloemfontein - An eight-year-old boy is in a critical condition after nearly drowning in a resort pool in Bloemfontein on Tuesday morning, paramedics said.
“Lifeguards noticed the boy under the water in the swimming pool and immediately pulled him from the water,” ER24 spokesman Werner Vermaak said.
“They found that he showed no signs of life and initiated CPR.”
Vermaak said paramedics continued the process once they arrived, before taking him to a local hospital.
