Johannesburg - A 35-year-old man was arrested for allegedly raping his 11-year-old nephew in QwaQwa on Friday, said Free State police.
The boy alleged that he was on his way home when he came across his uncle who forced him to walk to his house, said Sergeant Mmako Mophiring.
“He took the victim (to) his place. He further forced him to undress and when he refused he slapped him...and (allegedly) raped him while busy hitting (him) continuously,” said Mophiring.
After the incident, the boy went back home where he reported the matter to his parents.
They accompanied him to the police station where a rape case was opened.
The uncle was arrested.
“(He) is expected to appear before the Phuthaditjhaba Magistrate's Court on Monday,” said Mophiring.
