Bloemfontein - Free State police said on Monday they were looking for information which could lead to the arrest of a suspect, or suspects, in connection with the gruesome murder of a woman in Botshabelo near Bloemfontein on Sunday.
Police spokesman Peter Kareli said a man had arrived home at around 2am on Sunday morning when he found his wife hanging from the roof. Her hands and feet had been tied with electric cable.
“Police were called to the scene and on arrival it was discovered that the vehicle which the wife was using, a Toyota Fortuner, was missing. Police launched a manhunt and the vehicle was found abandoned near the river at N Section in Botshabelo,” Kareli said.
Anyone with information about the incident was asked to contact the investigating officer, detective warrant officer Adam Sekgo on 078 6588 202.
