Makwane - Free State police on Wednesday said it was searching for five suspects who raped a man while he was crossing a donga in Lusaka section in Makwane village.
Police spokesperson Mmako Mophiring said the 31-year-old victim was walking from the Phuthaditjhaba industrial area on Monday night towards Lusaka section when the incident occurred.
“The suspects were allegedly looking to rob him and when they couldn't find anything from him, decided to rape him,” said Mophiring.
“We urge members of the community to walk in numbers from and to work places during or night.”
Mophiring appealed to community members with information on the incident to contact the Makwane police on (058) 713-4454 or the Phuthaditjhaba Family Violence, Child Protection, and Sexual Offences (FCS) unit on (058) 718-4200/1.
