Bloemfontein - Two people were killed when their vehicle overturned on the R30 between Bradford and Bloemfontein on Friday, the Road Traffic Management Corporation said.
Spokesman Ashref Ismail said the driver of a Toyota Venture carrying eight passengers lost control of the vehicle.
He said it was not clear what caused the accident but broken bottles were scattered across the road.
Two passengers died at the scene and four others were taken to hospital in a serious condition.
Ismael warned motorists not to drink and drive and also advised that they practise “defensive' driving on the roads. - Sapa
