Bloemfontein – Members of the Bloemfontein K9 unit arrested two women and seized dagga (marijuana) with a street value of about R200 000 following a raid on a house in Freedom Square on Friday, Free State police.

The officers raided the house after they received a tip-off that drugs were being stored in the house.

“On arrival, they [officers] found two females aged 23 and 21 in the house who became uneasy when seeing police,” said police spokeswoman Thandi Mbambo.

“During the search, police discovered (8) eight black bags full of dagga, 2 x 20L buckets full of small packs of dagga.”

The two women are expected to appear in the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court on Monday on drug dealing charges.
