Johannesburg - A father and his son appeared in the Welkom Magistrate's Court for allegedly forcing an employee to have sex with their dog, Free State police said on Tuesday.
“The charges are compelled attempted rape, intimidation, and crimen injuria,” said Captain Stephen Thakeng.
The son, 16, the dog, and the new employee, 57, were guarding the father's business premises when the son ordered the dog to attack the employee.
The son then allegedly removed the employee's belt and “then the dog started to attempt to rape the employee with the instruction of the handler”, said Thakeng.
Photos and a video were allegedly taken of the incident.
When the employee reported the incident to the father, he allegedly threatened to kill the man.
The two appeared in court on March 17 and the father, 47, was released on R2000 bail. The Welkom family violence and sexual offences unit was investigating the incident and the case was postponed to April 1.
