In a significant move to bolster travel options for business and leisure travellers, Emirates has announced the launch of three new Asian destinations: Shenzhen in China, Da Nang in Vietnam, and Siem Reap in Cambodia.

This expansion reinforces Emirates' commitment to enhancing connectivity across Southeast Asia and East Asia, providing seamless access to increasingly vital commercial and cultural hubs.

Starting on July 1, travellers will enjoy daily flights from Dubai to Shenzhen, marking Emirates as the first Middle Eastern airline to establish a daily service to this fast-growing technology and innovation centre.

Daily flights to Shenzhen represent a huge opportunity for economic exchange, with Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, Adnan Kazim, highlighting the importance of this route.

"Our expansion into Shenzhen opens new doors for business and economic exchange between this technological powerhouse and global markets," Kazim stated.

He expressed appreciation to the Chinese authorities and partners for their support as they embark on operations in this influential city.

Emirates has been a key player in connecting the Middle East with the Chinese mainland, having pioneered direct flights in 2002 between Dubai and Shanghai.

The new services mark the fourth gateway for Emirates into mainland China, which has seen a successful two-decade relationship. The close bilateral cooperation between the UAE and China is further illustrated by Emirates’ existing operations in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou.

In its strategic expansion into Vietnam, Emirates will begin four weekly flights to Da Nang on June 2, further solidifying its presence in the destination.

Kazim noted that Vietnam holds a strategic place in the Emirates' Southeast Asia network, especially following the recent Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between the UAE and Vietnam.

“We are confident that our new service will elevate the existing bilateral trade and commercial collaboration between our nations,” he added, extending gratitude to local partners and Da Nang International Airport for their support.

Moreover, Emirates will also provide three weekly flights to Siem Reap starting on June 3, allowing travellers to easily access Cambodia's renowned Angkor Wat and its breathtaking natural beauty.

Kazim emphasised that this new gateway not only strengthens Emirates’ connections but also enriches customers' choices and experiences while ensuring streamlined travel into some of East Asia's most captivating destinations.

With this latest expansion, Emirates has now positioned itself with the largest and most diversified route network among non-Asian airlines in East Asia, boasting an impressive 269 weekly flights to 24 points from Dubai.

This milestone further establishes Emirates as a leader in providing comprehensive travel options in the rapidly evolving Asian market.
